(BNA):  Twenty-two Taliban insurgents were killed in clashes between the Taliban and security and defense forces in Takhar last night. Khalil Asir, spokesman for the Takhar police chief told BNA that the armed Taliban carried out large-scale attacks on several military bases in the villages of Qara Parchab, Panjshiri Gheshlagh, Abdal and around the airport, which sustain losses. Asir added 22 Taliban killed and seventeen other wounded in this clash and some Taliban weapons were seized by security forces. According to him, there were no harm and casualties incurred to security forces in the operation. The Taliban have not yet commented.
