(Khaama Press): Former warlord in the north of Afghanistan Atta Muhammad Noor in an interview with Associated Press blamed both the Afghan government and the US for “irresponsible” withdrawal for the Taliban’s recent development in particular in gaining territories. Noor warned that the ongoing situation is quite dangerous and there is a real possibility of another civil war in Afghanistan He criticized the US for its quick exit from Afghanistan which has left Afghan Security Forces unprepared for the Taliban offensive and totally demoralized. The former prominent warlord was apparently caught by surprised confessing that he did not expect the Taliban to take 19 districts in 24 hours in northern Badakhshan province. Once, the governor of northern Balkh province, Atta Muhammad Noor has said in the interview that the Afghan government often leaves Afghan military members without reinforcement and food and paid their salaries irregularly and the situation has given momentum to the Taliban to take more districts even without a fight. As per Noor, he had advised the Afghan government to unify and to work on the morale of the military but he complained that was not taken seriously. He also attacked the Afghan government for mistakenly use of the commandos who are given the jobs of holding checkpoints the one for which they have not been trained. Noor added that though well-trained, the Afghan pilots are not given enough rest and are overused as a result most of the planes are on the ground. Atta Muhammad Noor paid gratitude to the money and manpower given by the US to Afghanistan but complained that the country did less when it comes to making Afghanistan self-sufficient. He pledged to mobilize his militia to recapture the seized districts of Blakh province back from the Taliban.
