(Pajhwok): A key Taliban commander for eastern Nangarhar province has been killed in northwestern Pakistan, says an Afghan official. The Nangarhar governor identified the insurgent commander as Nek Mohammad, who was shot dead in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa capital late on Monday. Governor Zia-ul-Haq Amarkhel tweeted that Nek Mohammad’s two associates, including Azizullah (aka Mustafa), were wounded in the Haji Camp area of Peshawar. However, Amarkhel did not say who was behind the Taliban commander in Peshawar– home to many Afghan militants and citizens.
