(BNA) At many as 30 fighters of Deash and Taliban terrorist groups were killed during recent air and group attacks carried out by Afghan security forces in eastern Nangarhar province. The insurgents have been targeted within the last 36 hours in insecure areas of Nangarhar province. A senior commander of Afghan national army in the east of the country told BNA reporter, 30 members of Deash and Taliban groups were killed and 33 others were wounded during the assaults. Seven terrorist’s hideouts belonged to the groups along with all military equipment have been destroyed during the raids. According to another report, Afghan security forces by discovering and confiscating eight round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent several bloodiest incidents in Nangarhar province. No individual or group has commented regarding the mine plantings, but local officials claimed that Taliban fighters are responsible. Meanwhile, three weapon storages have been discovered by Afghan military personnel in Haska Meena, Momand Dara and Khogyani districts of Nangarhar province. Some heavy and light weapons, bombs and mines have been seized from the weapon storages.
