BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Sabawoon Zwak joined the Centre for Conflict and Peace Studies (CAPS) since September 2018 as a Research Analyst. His research is focus mainly on Transnational Terrorism, ISIS and the sectarian violence between Sunni and Shiia.

Prior to joining CAPS Mr. Zwak has coached Alfalah University’€™s Law team for 2017-2018 International Commercial Arbitration moot court competitions. Mr. Zwak also worked for sustainable culture of peace with Cooperation for Peace and Unity (CPAU). He is fluent in Pashto, Dari and English.

Mr. Zwak has attended many local and regional training and workshops representing Afghanistan. In university he has been member of Media law and William C. VIS International Arbitration Moot Court Competition teams.

Alongside, having background in Law and Political Science, he is the co-founder of Youth Social Foundation (YSF). And also, conducted and host Town-Hall style lectures for gender equality, rule of law and promote volunteerism among Afghan youths.
