BIOGRAPHY
Senior Research Analyst | Qualitative Research
Mr. Muhammad Ajmal Karimi currently serves as a Senior Research Analyst at the Centre for Conflict and Peace studies (CAPS). His work at CAPS includes undertaking provincial assessments, assessing the role of narcotics in the insurgency and analyzing the role of strategic communication. In addition, he is responsible for monitoring security developments, compiling and editing weekly and monthly reports and drafting assessments from an Afghan perspective. He also teaches Banking, Business Communication, and Strategic Management at the Kardan Institute of Higher Learning.
Mr. Ajmal Karimi has extensive experience in training and communications. He taught English at various levels for nine years. Prior to working with CAPS, Mr. Ajmal Karimi served as a Project Administrator at Society for Skill Training & Development (SSTD), Academic Manager at Shunaizia Relief & Development Organization (SRDO) and at Aryoub English Academy, Coordinator at College of Management & Information Technology (COMTEC).
He was a member of an Afghan Youth Foundation for Unity (AYFUN). He served in the logistics department of AYFUN as well as arranged and participated in different youth conferences and annual events. He got his BBA honors from the Institute of Business and Management Sciences (IBMS) / Agricultural University, Peshawar and is currently pursuing his Masters in International Relations from the Peshawar University in Pakistan. In addition to Pashto and Dari, Mr. Karimi is fluent in English and Urdu. He was born in Kabul Province of Afghanistan.
