BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Abdulhadi Hairan is currently a Research Analyst at the Center for Conflict and Peace Studies (CAPS) in Kabul, Afghanistan. His focus is on local media outfits, their problems and issues. He also does field research in the provinces, focusing on profiling key stakeholders and media.


Mr. Hairan has background in journalism and translations. He has worked as editor with several newspapers, magazines, news agencies, and online media; and has translated research studies, books, software and technical manuals for translation companies based in US, UK, Canada, and Singapore.


Mr. Hairan was born in district Qila-e-Zaal of Kunduz province, Afghanistan, and is fluent in Pashto, English, Dari, and Urdu.
