Located in Kabul, Afghanistan, CAPS is an independent, research centre that
strives to conduct action-oriented research which will influence
policy-makers. It works diligently towards building local capacity to
produce conflict and threat assessments that will influence the safety and
security of the people serving the governments, and international aid
organizations.

BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Naweed Barikzai is currently a Research Analyst at the Center for Conflict and Peace Studies (CAPS) in Kabul, Afghanistan. His focus is on legal department, but besides his other responsibilities include, writing analysis, editing, and more as per the request and by the supervision of the seniors.
Mr. Barikzai has a background in communication, administration, translations, and as a coach/trainer. Prior to working with CAPS, Mr. Naweed Barikzai served as a National Coach/Trainer for the UNDP, assigned job in Ministry of Information and Culture for more than two years. Before that he has worked as Communication Officer in Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF).
Mr. Barikzai was born in Makrorayan, Kabul, Afghanistan. Additionally, besides having Dari as mothers tongue, he is fluent in Pashto, English, and Urdu.
