Located in Kabul, Afghanistan, CAPS is an independent, research centre that strives to conduct action-oriented research which will influence policy-makers. It works diligently towards building local capacity to produce conflict and threat assessments that will influence the safety and security of the people serving the governments, and international aid organizations.

BIOGRAPHY

Mr Abdul Halim Achakzai was born in 1985 in kabul city. He completed his high school at Abdul Hadi Dawi high school and succeeded to the Faculty of Law at the Kabul University in 2004. Abdul Halim acquired his TOEFL diploma from I.R.C English language centre in year 1999 in Pakistan. He was a member of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung YLF (Young leaders Forum) for an year. The organization works in different research fields in Afghanistan. He was also trainer at Afghan Youth Parliament in year 2007. He has worked in different academic and educational centres and he recently served as a Lecturer at the Sayed Jamal-u-din teacher training institute in Kabul.

In additions to Pashto and Dari, Mr. Achakzai is fluent in English and Urdu.
