New missiles fired into Kunar: Governor ASADABAD : About 100 more missiles had been fired into eastern Kunar province over the past 24 hours despite a protest that was lodged with the Pakistan ambassador as day earlier, an official said on Monday. Governor Syed Fazlullah Wahidi told Pajhwok Afghan News that nearly 100 missiles hit Kachli, Sur Kamar, Zara Brawl and Khara villages of Dangam district. Although the attacks cause no casualties, they inflicted material loses on the people. Resident Painda Gul said 250 missiles had landed in various areas of Dangam over the past 24 hours. Eight civilians have been killed and more than 20 others injured in the missile barrages, says local authorities. Several people have suffered financial loses and many families displaced.
