(BNA): Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah chaired the council of ministers meeting here at the Sapidar Palace yesterday, a statement said. Addressing his opening remarks, CE Abdullah said a dignified peace was the will of each and every Afghans, adding that he was supporting any practical steps in the process, the statement from CE Press office said. Hinting to US special envoy for Afghanistan reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad’s trip to Kabul, Dr. Abdullah said that there were no pre-conditions for peace talks, adding that the conditions would be set by the Afghan representatives during the talks, the statement added Dr. Abdullah also asked the Independent Electoral Complaint Commission to consider electoral laws and procedures while addressing the complaints and making final decisions. He also said that the national unity government would be continued till inauguration of the new elected government. The Chief Executive also pointed to recent protests of Ghor residents, calling their demands as lawful, adding practical measures needed to be taken by the government organs to address their problems, the statement quoted him as saying. The meeting discussed security developments, national sapling plan, reduction of traffic jam in Kabul, activities of the oil and gas administration, distribution of land and apartments for the heirs of demining martyrs and boosting capacities of the addiction treatment center, the statement added.
